My initial interest in art was sparked at the age of ten when I discovered I could freehand the football player pictures I was so fond of tracing. I graduated from Midwestern State University with a BFA in print making. My special area of study was screen printing. I have been a commercial graphic artist since 1975 and owned Promark Screenprinting in Texas from 1980 to 2009. When my daughters went away to college several years ago, I took up a life long desire to study figure drawing. I eventually started oil painting, studying with Kaye Franklin near my home town of Wichita Falls, Texas. In 2009, I married Linda and moved to Overland Park, KS. Since moving to Kansas, I have studied with Mark Weber and Tom Nelson. I am a member of the Greater Kansas City Art Association, Outdoor Painters Society, and Missouri Valley Impressionists Society.
